Luca Mancone draws inspiration from a frenetic Milan, his hometown, and from the economic sciences he has delved into that are based on the coldness of numbers. Luca has bent these facts to a dimension of intellectual research that he likes to call visual irony. The tax receipt is a "poor" reality that lives a few seconds and unnoticed, but represents a real world. A world that speaks of places, needs, dreams, loves, fears, desires, expressed fully in the purchase made; the artist extends the life of the tax receipt and gives voice to the meanings hidden in it. A universal message is found in his elegant and minimal works: the transformation of the painting itself. The receipt is imprisoned in the painting but the thermal paper changes over time, giving rise to a process of "aging"; air and heat transform the hues, making them warmer.
