Mixed media on canvas

70x70 cm

The materials are a strong reference to the suburban walls: from posters to plaster to spray and acrylic colors. The cans (cut and glued to the canvas) represent a strong link to the streets through poor materials which create a totally abstract urban portrait. The canvas is signed and with COA.

  • Son of art, he comes into contact with the world of graffiti since the early 90s, totally fascinated by the contexts where these are performed: walls, trains, stations, suburbs. In those years he began the study of letters and the evolution of writing, deciding to bring these fascinations on canvas, abolishing the figurative part and giving wide emphasis to the poetry of the colors combined with the study of materials.

    1. In 2009 he began to collaborate with some galleries participating in international art fairs and personal and collective art exhibitions. In 2011 he collaborates with Artetivù and in 2013 he exhibits in the 55th Venice Biennale for the “Back 2 Back to Biennale”, an event dedicated to Street Art. He paints the corridors of the Luxury Hotel La Griffe in Rome and participates in the urban redevelopment of Brescia in collaboration with Brescia Mobilità. He has collaborated in the graphic design of albums with some Italian and foreign music bands of the punk rock scene.
    2. The materials he uses are a strong reference to the suburban walls: posters, plastics, fabrics, cement, plaster, glues and adhesives to get to colors such as sprays, acrylics, enamels, markers and pencils. The most recent artworks explore new materials: the spray cans (cut and glued to the canvas) represent in a direct and descriptive way the complex link of poor materials which create a totally abstract urban photography.
